Some Thoughts From Two Months Out / 07.02.09, 09:42 AM

I don’t want my time in Chicago to be an experience I have, only to go back to my current life with a few good ideas and a renewed hope in the common good. I want to go and I want to, figuratively, stay. Please pray that my team can keep in mind that we are not going to see where our talents can be used but, to see what our community needs and find a way to provide that. Pray that we seek out the judgment and fear in our hearts and let the Lord carve away at it.

So, friends, every day do something
that won’t compute. Love the Lord.
Love the world. Work for nothing.
Take all that you have and be poor.
Love someone who does not deserve it.

Be joyful
though you have considered all the facts.
