Thanksgiving Dinner Night

Thanksgiving Photo / Nov 26, 02:58 PM

Our team was treated to two thanksgivings. We spent the afternoon at our neighbor’s house, Mrs. Goodwin. She had been cooking for three days! But don’t worry – we saved room. After Mrs. Goodwin’s dinner we were taken to the Clark’s house for another thanksgiving meal. The Clarks asked Anna the first Sunday that she went to church, “Do you have plans for Thanksgiving? If not, please come to our home.” The Clarks have quickly become like family to us. They have opened their home & always insist that you take your shoes off the moment you come in. They were the ones to treat us all to our first authentic cheese steak sandwiches & they are also the ones who have made sure that all of our needs are taken care of. Just this last Sunday I mentioned to Mrs. Clark that I wasn’t appreciating the cold weather because I don’t bring a lot of winter clothing. Well this Thanksgiving Mrs. Clark made sure that we were warm. She gave us 7 winter coats.

This was the goofy picture that we took. Mr. and Mrs. Clark are on the far right and their daughter is in the middle (with the toe socks). She gave me a pretty snazzy fur coat later that night. So I guess that makes it 8 coats. Oh, there were two other coats in the trunk of Mr. Clark’s car – so that makes 10!
