We began thinking about doing Mission Year about 8-9 months ago. At first, it was just an idea of something we might want to do in the future, but the more we thought and prayed about it the more God laid it on our hearts as not just something that we could do now, but should do now. After finding out that there was indeed still room in the program, we nervously filled out our applications and anxiously awaited the results. Our interview in Philadelphia gave us an amazing opportunity to see one of the Mission Year cities and as you can see, we were welcomed to the team. As we prepare to move in August, to which city we are still unaware, we have a lot of mixed emotions. We are enthusiastic, but nervous, excited, but sad. We are enthusiastic to see what God has in store for us, but nervous for so much change and “newness”. We are excited to meet our new family and settle into our new home, but we are sad move away from our friends and family in Ohio and Pennsylvania. With much prayer and faith we are sure that God will move in big ways that we cannot even begin to imagine. Thanks again for your invaluable prayer and support, we can’t wait to share with you the next step in our adventure!
