Go through your stuff. Find what you don’t need (you haven’t worn that shirt in 6 months? get rid of it. You just really like to own the books you’ve read(that would be me)? Get rid of them, or make it known to everyone, that they should feel free to use you as a library. Get the picture?), there is plenty of it. I promise. Give it away. Put it out on your driveway, and put a sign with it that says ‘FREE’. I saw it happen today. It’s biblical.
I’m going to be working on this for myself over the next few weeks. Trying to simplify my possessions. I don’t harbor any delusions that this will be easy for me. Or you. But it’s Biblical isn’t it?
Someone can use your stuff. I saw it work today. If you’re not comfortable with that, or it wouldn’t work for you to do it that way? Ebay, craigslist, or pawn it. Use the money to directly meet a need. Help someone pay a bill. Help someone buy groceries.
Give it away.
