This was written yesterday while in the Aderondacks:

As i sit here on a huge rock overlooking a calm lake its hard to believe that in less than a month I’ll be in the inner city. I felt the same way sitting under a tent all summer in the middle of a field selling organic strawberries to earthy crunchy people. It seems worlds away from Camden. Part of me screams “what are you doing you’re a country girl?” Yet despite my questions and fears I KNOW this is what God has for me. And I am excited for it. Talking to my friend Charels, who’s an Alumni of Mission Year, he encouaraged me that “The joy that comes from helping people shadows the joy that comes from doing things you like.” And this i know to be true in the limited experiance i have.

God may you be my joy and may I have joy in doing your work.
