Prone to wander, and a'wandering I go. / Mar 27, 10:36 AM
To not be content with who God has made you to be is a smack in the face to God. It rejects him, his, love, and Jesus’ death on the cross. Not cool.
Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God. He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood.
It’s not about me/you/anyone who isn’t Jesus. It’s about Jesus.
He knows what he’s doing. Just chill and let him work. Don’t panic.
For the sake of emphasis, let’s break that line down a bit…
Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God.
(We’re not independently valuable. We can’t do anything to deserve his love. He loves us anyway.)
He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood.
(He loved/loves us enough that he wanted/wants us to be kept from harmful things. We didn’t do anything for it. He wasn’t chilling with the angels one day and go; “hey, (insert names here)‘s pretty cool. I’m gonna look out for (name), and you know, DIE for (name).”)
Ok. Now. If your mind is not sufficiently blown, read that line one more time…
Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God. He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood.
It’s not about me/you/anyone who isn’t Jesus. It’s about Jesus.
Peace.
