From 'student' to 'adult'
Many have asked the famous question: ‘What are you going to do once you graduate?’ Well, that question has been on my mind for over a year now. Between the thoughts of working on a cruise, being a princess at DisneyLand, and bumming it in Costa Rica, an opportunity came my way.
MissionYear is giving me the opportunity to reach out to those who need it the most. This year will teach me how to love and be loved, be kind and generous, teach and be taught by living in circumstances no one would wish upon their enemy.
Thank you for supporting me as I go through this rigorous experience. And please remember to Love God and Love People because really, Nothing Else Matters!
About Mission Year
Mission Year is a year long urban ministry program focused on Christian service and discipleship. We take teams of young people, place them in an area of need, and help them to serve people and create community. We are committed to the command of Jesus to “love God and love people,” by placing the needs of our neighbors first and developing committed disciples of Christ with a heart for the poor.
