Oh my! / Feb 5, 03:28 PM
So a couple weeks ago i kinda messed up my knee. I had to go the the emergency room last week and they told me that I tore my lateral meniscus. It has something to do with the soft tissue unde the knee cap. I have an appointment with a knee doctor next week. So im just asking for prayer that its nothing serious and something that time can heal.
we have had a few more problems with the house. our ceiling is caving in in the front room. there is also some very pretty mold that is growing there. Anna has been very persistant in callin our landlord and letting him know that there is a problem. he has been by to look at and assures us somone is coming soon to fix it.
And since the beggining of the year there has been a mysterious dripping sound that we couldnt find the source of. well we finally found it. we believe it is our bathroom sink, which is upstairs. it is currently leaking from our ceiling in the dining room. this just happened last night so im sure the landlord will be called today. in the house we keep havin discussions of what would happen if our bathroom fell through the floor into our dining room. the discussions are very amusing but at the same time a little scary to think about.
it really does make you think about the people whos lives are permanently rooted here. they go through this all the time. im only here for a year and im complaining. i have no right to. i pray that God will use the way i feel about our house and use it to help me love the people who have come into my life a little more.
lots of love ,
Rori

Rori,
Sorry we have not stayed in touch but life is so fast moving we just don’t take the time to do the little things like communication that mean so much . The house sounds like that movie Money Pit with Tom Hanks but remember in the end everything comes out wonderful. God test us all in many ways but our love and prayers will be with you and we will stay in touch. You are such a special person.

just get over it you big baby. nah, just kidding, not really, yeah really, not, no really. thanks fyou for the letter. it really was an encouragement to dodi and i. it seems so many times as believers, that we tend to focus on what we are doing, or where we are doing it, or who we are doing it with. when this happens if where we are, or what we are doing or who we are doing it with changes we can struggle. that is possibly because we lose sight of the fact that it is God. in the end it is God. we must be satisfied with God as our all. this is difficult, i know, because i am not fully there myself. that is my prayer for you as well as myself. see you soon, sister.

Hey, Rori!!
Haven’t heard from you lately. Hope all is going well, especially the therapy on the knee. Terrible!! The sun is out today, and that makes for happier people. Yea!! Happy March to you, and if my calculations are right, you’ll be home in 13 days for a visit!!! Know you would have liked to have been here for the folks and Josh when they lost Champ. What a sweet puppy!! We surely hated that. And what a powerful virus!! I know your work there has been meaningful for those you have touched and for you, but Kentucky needs you, too. Think of you often. We’re off to FL. for a week; so I’ll see you in Burgin really soon. Love you. P.
