Hey, I want yall to check out Matt Roark’s lastest blog. Our team met a guy by the name of Tony the first couple weeks we were here. I had visited with him with other team mates a couple times. He owned a little store really close to our house. Well, through circumstances that we arent quite sure of, Tony got shot and died a few weeks ago. Ive been sturggling with whether or not to write about it. But since Matt did, I thought that I might as well also.
I dont really know what else to say about it. If you have questions about it, just ask me.
Also check out the comments on matt’s blog entry. Tony’s son left a comment as well as a friend of his. It really touches my heart.

Hey, Girl!!
Just haven’t sat down to write. . . well, just ‘cause! I really hated to hear about that shooting. (Haven’t read Matt’s blog yet, but will – today is not a good day. Not to diminish that terrible tragedy, but Brandee’s dog died and I think I will wait until another time.) We here have no idea what it’s like to be in the city. Of course, I have visited Hailey in Indy, but to live there like you are living and seeing, first hand, the reality that many don’t have what we have and certainly don’t experience the love and family that we sometimes take for granted. I knew you would have a difflicult time leaving home after your Christmas break. If just takes that special someone to quickly change your whole life. But spring is right around the corner, and so is March 14th. We are all seeing Wes today for the first time. His plane lands this afternoon and the fam is planning a homecoming! Isn’t it wonderful that he is home?? How proud Stephen and Tommie, and even Phyllis must be! I know you are making difference there and will continue to do so. We love you and pray for your mission and your safety.
Love, Peggy
