Creation Fest 2008 in Mt. Union PA / 07.03.08, 02:10 PM

So this past week I had the opportunity to go to the Creation Festival with a few of my friends. I must say… what an amazing week! The speakers were amazing, the bands were amazing, and it was just over all an amazing experience… but wait, I just realized I didn’t explain what Creation is to all of you who may not know what that is. Creation is the gigantic Christian events where a bunch of people camp out in the valley in the mountains. A bunch of well known Christian bands come, as well as a bunch of Christian speakers. The attendance this year was about 70,000. Yepp. So everyone is probably wondering why I’m babbling on about this even. It’s because God showed me something amazing while there. This is what happened…

So On Thursday night, Newsboys were the final band to perform. Well, after two songs, the guy who runs Creation came out, stopped the band and told us a thunderstorm was apporaching, so they couldn’t continue and we were to return to our tent. So my friend David and I headed back to our tent. Our tent was far though, so instead of going there we stopped at this prayer tent near the smaller music stage, the fringe stage. Well, while there, the Holy Spirit SPOKE to me. And I mean he CLEARLY did. And He said “Zack, tell these people to joining there hands in prayer to stop the storm”. OK. Now I don’t know about y’all, but I was like “God, I’ll look crazy!” But I just KNEW it was God. So I did it. And we prayed. And guess what, Jesus Christ CAN calm storms. There IS power in prayer the likes of seen in The Bible! Because the storm STOPPED. And It didn’t thunder for the entire concert! It was just a reminder to me of how powerful God is. He still can calm storms. I know He can move mountains too. I have faith. And it was also just God reassuring me I can do mission year this upcoming year as well. I on myself would crumble and fail living in an urban city for a year… but with God, amazing things will happen. May Glory and All Honor go to Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen. :D

It’s a little hectic at the moment, but I’m REALLY excited what God’s gonna do through this experience. Thanks Again and God Bless. :)
